VODKA FACTORY had a great Swedish Première. Our film won the Tempo Documentary Award along with 75.000 SEK for Best Feature Length Documentary at the 12th Tempo Documentary Festival the largest documentary festival in Sweden which took place 8-13 March 2011 in Stockholm. This is the Jury motivation: "A finely honed and skilfully directed documentary about love, responsibility and dreams. Who wants to stay in fucking Zhigulyovsk ?" VODKA FACTORY had a triumphal World Première at DOK LEIPZIG the 53rd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (Germany), one of the world largest documentary film festival which took place between 18-24 October 2010. VODKA FACTORY received the Golden Dove along with € 10.000 in the International Competition as Best Feature Length Documentary. That's the Jury motivation: "The film waives a complex and deep story of human condition where hope and despair live together. By using fictional means and yet being documentary the director handles many characters that gives layer to the film and little by little from a small factory in a Russian city. The film gains space and place and grows into a metaphor of human struggle for happiness and dignity, where the possibility of dream is the only possible way to survive".
